I have recently upgraded from Word 5 to Word 6 (DOS) to produce high quality
text with photos on an HP5L LaserJet. I am very happy with what the
combination is producing, BUT I cannot get the page numbers (there are 196 of
them) to print in the specified font and size.
I know I must be doing something wrong but I do not know what!
Here is a copy of my Normal Style Sheet:
(S) Normal Section
Page break. Page length 11.69"; width 8.25".
Page # format Arabic, Top margin 2.1"; bottom 2.1"; left 1.25"; right
1.25". Header at 0.5" from top. Footer at 0.5" from bottom. Footnotes on same
page.
(P) Normal
Times_New_Roman 12/Auto Bold. Justified
(C) FR Footnote Ref
Times_New_Roman 9 Bold Superscript
(P) FN Footnote
Times_New_Roman 9/12 Bold Italic. Flush left. Left indent 0.5", space before
1 li ( keep in one column)
(C) PN Page Number
Times_New_Roman 10 Bold.
Because I am using several one and two column Sections I have been selecting
and positioning continuous page numbers at each break.
On the Print-Preview the page numbers appear to be bold and in the specified
font - Times_New_Roman - but when the page is printed, the page numbers come
out NOT BOLD and in what appears to be Roman (b) 12.
When I open a text file the specified formatting of section, paragraph,
characters, footnote references and footnotes apply. Why not the Page
Numbers?
Any advice will be appreciated.
