-> The minor victories are often those that win the war in the end. I
-> have been toying with computers since 1980.
So I keep telling myself. I've got to keep my chin up.
-> Even my sons think nothing of taking the computer apart and upgrading
-> components now. Hopefully those in management will see the need for
-> spending some time and money in teaching teachers about computer use,
-> pro and con.
While being able to upgrade the computers themselves isn't something
that I see as necessary (I can't even really do that myself. I rely on
my spouse for that type of tinkering), greater familiarity with the
machine is a must. I don't think the admin wants to know too much of the
details. The Principal and Asst. Principal only stayed for a portion of
my Internet presentation (about 1/3 of it). While I realize that they
are busy and it was nice of them to show up at all, later when I
mentioned to the Asst. Principal that I was disappointed she had missed
the next thing I showed right after she left, she said, "Oh, you're the
expert..." meaning she doesn't really care to learn it herself, I guess?
But they do seem willing to back us with some $$$ for training.
