I use a KPC-3. It has a RESET command that initializes the TNC
modem. 1200 baud.
With a Comm Terminal you have to use ECHO ON. If you don't you won't
see any print on the screen when you type.
Procomm must have gone out of business. Their BBS and Sales line has
been disconnected. It is a good Terminal (ProcommPlus)
It has a buffer that the screen writes to in memory.
I have a problem with the TNC logging to disk. It seems to hurt the hard
disk for the radio to imput data from my radio through the TNC to the hard
drive. I have to use chkdsk/f all the time because I have
FAT and Sector problems because of it.
About the only problem I have experienced. Even CTRL-C works better to
get from CONVERS back to COMMAND MODE.
