Ed got Mama the meds this morning. They talked about why she was feeling so
bad and narrowed it down to the Denny's meal we had after her doctor visit.
She put syrup on her toast. She can't handle anything too sweet - messes
with her mentally ALOT. I think she is fine with some things but syrup is
way too much sugar. We didn't think about it at the time but I guess that's
something we all need to be more conscious of when we bring her food or take
her to eat somewhere in the future.

Subject: Mama Update

Took Mama to the doctor yesterday for her 4 month check up. She complained
about anxiety and shortness of breath. D. T tested her oxygen level in her
blood at 92. Normal is 98. He said no one is 100. So she was low but not
that low. He listened to her lungs carefully. He thought he heard slight
gurgling in the bottom of her lungs. He mentioned congestive heart failure
is fairly common for her age. He sent us for some chest x-rays, said he
wanted her to see a heart specialist and be back in 6 weeks. He added a
prescription for Furosemide (diuretic) to get the fluid off her lungs.

Gabe got her results today - x-ray was normal and she doesn't need to come
back for 4 months. Her blood showed anemia. I got her some iron pills
today. So the attached medication sheets are updated for both. Eddie will
take her the new meds tomorrow morning and put copies in the pill bucket.
He was going to take them to her Friday but she called Joe and had him track
me down. She wanted them tonight but she can't take them until the morning
anyway. She's been feeling bad all day and now is having problems
urinating. One of the sisters told her it was serious not to have the
medicine so that added to her panic. She heard Dr. T. say congestive heart
failure and she has latched onto that and I think made herself upset. Her
x-rays were normal. So this is just to let everyone know what's going on
and give you medicine lists.
