Small business was years ahead of the corp world when it came to adopting
the desktop computer. At least a 2-3 year head start. IBM was trying to
catch up after being blindsided. They threw gas on a fire that was already
burning when they released the PC, and the killer business app, visicalc,
came from the ][. The only other killer business app was some cheesey word
processor, which was the reason Jobs thought the Mac was the future cause
it could use pretty fonts.

I wonder if we could find some totals for sales numbers for apple the year
before IBM released the PC?
