JD>If I may butt in: on the C-46 one morning in dry snow over Arkansas, we
were
JD>getting St. Elmo's Fire in rings around the props when suddenly we got an
JD>orange glowing ball on the top of the panel which then rolled down to the
JD>pedestal and then to the flooe where make a "POP" sound and was gone. Very
JD>Strange.
Never saw it inside the cockpit but have put my finger against the
window and have bolts of "lightening" extend out for several feet, no
sensation of feel tho. Being a native of Ozark, Ar, you should have
gotten my clearance before flying over the area. Have seen some strange
weather around Cass, rain, hail, snow, sleet, sun shining and the
mountain on fire all at the same time, no weather for flying (G)
