DC> GD> JB> I think it should be there and if it were on the ballot I'd DC> GD> JB> vote for it but I am not taking to the streets to overturn DC> GD> JB> far left decisions by our government run schools. DC> GD>Yeah, everyone should face Mecca and pray 5 times. DC> JB> If you want to, I have no issue with that. DC> DC>That's not the way it works. All students must do so at the required DC>times. That is your rule, not mine. DC> GD> GD>What about ID, aka Creation Science in schools? DC> DC> GD> JB> Same answer. DC> DC> GD>Provide the scientific theory that qualifies it as anything other DC> GD>than religious dogma. DC> JB> Much of evolution is unproven but that doesn't stop you. ID DC> JB> brings up some very interesting points of view and valid DC> JB> questions. I am amazed at how threatened you are by it. DC> DC>Get it through your head that science does not fo proofs. ID brings DC>up nothing. The "threatening" part is that idiots consider ID to DC>be scientific in the first place. So you are threatened by it. I get that. It's an alternative viewpoint. It also forces people to acknowledge that science cannot answer many questions. That is what you fear. DC> DC> GD> GD>Then there's sex ed. DC> DC> GD> JB> Has nothing to do with religion. I don't think the schools DC> GD>should DC> DC> GD>Oh, really? Then why all the upraor from the religious reich? DC> GD>Why the furor over not teaching abstinance only? DC> JB> Maybe it has to do with some of the topics being taught DC> JB> regarding sex ed but sex ed itself is not a religious topic. DC> JB> The government run DC>Yeah, that's why the religious reich accepts teaching it is school DC> JB> students to push their leftwing agenda. If they didn't teach DC> JB> it at all, there would be no issue. They could then use that DC> JB> time for more DC>Have you bothered to notice that teenage pregnancies are on the rise? Maybe that has to do with the sex education being taught in schools ? DC> GD>Give them the money they need to do their jobs right/ DC> JB> They have more than enough money. They are inefficient and DC> JB> sometimes unqualified for the job. DC>Try comparing schools as to budget. The students that need the most DC>are getting the least. Many schools getting the most do the worst. The issue isn't the amount of money the schools get. The issue is that the parents aren't writing the checks directly and thus are detached from the value portion of the equation. Any time you have a third party payer system, the tie between the person paying for the service and the person receiving the service is broken. I understand that you don't get this.
