i had to go take another look to see why i rejected this tool the first time
around... turns out it was due to requiring binary log files... i tried, at one
time, to have binkd use FD compatible binary files but something about them
wasn't right and FD didn't like them at all... none of my FD tools did,
either... i didn't push it any further at the time...

since then, i've found a perl script or two that works reasonably well... the
handling of sessions that cross over the top of the hour need some work and
tweaking, though, or else data gets added twice... once at the end of the
previous hour and one at the beginning of the current hour... it works quite
well and i believe it recently had a slight modification to handle the slight
log file format change that took place a while back...
