I tried this and got the same result. When setting the event for 00:00
and running EleBBS in WFC mode, it displays "Next event  : none".
It looks like you discovered a bug.

I was able to duplicate this here by setting my clock to 23:59 and
waiting for 2 minutes. At that time the EleBBS WFC screen exited
with the errorlevel as it should, and after I restarted it, it now shows
"Next event : none".

It appears that you have discovered two bugs in EleBBS.

Btw, please remember to trim your quotes as needed, since
the email is gated to both FidoNet and the MPCode list archive.
