Hi Suzanne:
You are absolutely right. I do have a 1630. But it is in the shop at the
moment :-(. I put it in for its tuneup. It goes out of warrenty (the two
year one) in February, so I wanted it done now, and will also put it in in
January/February for its final tuneup before it is out of warrenty.
I was contemplating doing the tree for a block for Christmas, and had made
some notes as to what I wanted to do, and your request made the perfect
xcuse
to do it. I really enjoyed doing it, and will probably do one or two for me
between now and Christmas.
Luckily last week I bought a backup machine, so have been able to finish up a
blouse today, and did Kathy's block (over on Sew&Quilt), on the new backup
machine. DH walked in while I was sewing and said "That machine sounds just
like any regular sewing machine", and I replied, "yeah, the Caddy is in the
shop". He got a kick out of that. But it has a 1/4" foot as its normal
sewing foot, so was really happy that I could use that for piecing.
TTYL,
Teresa
