Hi Suzanne:
You are absolutely right.  I do have a 1630.  But it is in the shop at the 
moment :-(.  I put it in for its tuneup.  It goes out of warrenty (the two 
year one) in February, so I wanted it done now, and will also put it in in 
January/February for its final tuneup before it is out of warrenty.
I was contemplating doing the tree for a block for Christmas, and had made 
some notes as to what I wanted to do, and your request made the perfect 
xcuse
to do it.  I really enjoyed doing it, and will probably do one or two for me 
between now and Christmas.  
Luckily last week I bought a backup machine, so have been able to finish up a 
blouse today, and did Kathy's block (over on Sew&Quilt), on the new backup 
machine.  DH walked in while I was sewing and said "That machine sounds just 
like any regular sewing machine", and I replied, "yeah, the Caddy is in the 
shop".  He got a kick out of that.  But it has a 1/4" foot as its normal 
sewing foot, so was really happy that I could use that for piecing.
