Hey Steve, ABC ran that story on Matt Nagle several times overnight. Seeing those wires running to his head and watching him interface with computers merely by thinking prompted thoughts about the characters in the Matrix movies. There was also a movie called eXistenZ which had characters jacking in to virtual reality games via a port in their bodies. I don't remember much about the Johnny Mnemonic movie which involved a character carrying data in something like a hard drive implanted in his head, but these recent posts about chips and interfaces with computers have me thinking about your comment about science fiction becoming reality. I'm certain the creators of these and similar movies were looking at what was going on in the labs and they were projecting, envisioning where this might lead. --- Maximus/2 3.01* Origin: Juxtaposition BBS, Telnet:juxtaposition.dynip.com (1:167/133) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 @PATH: 167/133 379/1 106/2000 633/267 |
