Sigh. Re-discovering the BBS has brought back memories of that "hobbyist"
phase, when no one knew what the internet was, and home computers were the
exception, not the rule. I remember trying to explain how a modem worked
and what a BBS was, with the usual response being a sort-of blank stare.
It was a LOT of fun being on the leading edge of that wave, makes me wonder
exactly when it broke, and it makes me wonder what the next wave will be.
