place and adoption agency involved.

Has she registered with the State of Michigan Registry?  Has she
contacted the adoption agency for non-identifying information?  The
adoption agency should also provide her with a form for the State
registy.  If she lives in the area of Hazel Park, there is A.I.M.(
Adoption Identity Movement) that meets on the 3rd Wednesday of the month
at the Beecher Jr. High School, 22750 Highland St. This is 2 blocks East
of John R and 1 block South of 9 Mile Rd.  Meetings are open to the
general public, and we have a very mixed group of the triad affected by
adoption.  If she does not still live in the Detroit area, there are
organizations throughout the state that will help her in her search.
