     Yes....... I knew it two days after I posted the message... The best
     solution is to sort the directories .EXE first, then .COM, then .BAT,
     then .BTM and then .DOC, for example. I don't know if there is a
     utility that does this......

     I know... but still.... Before the .*=START alias, you wouldn't type
     that because it would be useless. So, you wouldn't type that normally,
     unless you want it to be open.
     Now type the name of a .WAV, a .MID, a .JPG or a .GIF file... it is the
     same as what you say.
