Are you changing the topic because you are unable to reply on topic?
I have no knowledge of your problems. I don't have them myself and no
one else I know has ever mentioned this to me. If you change settings so
that stuff doesn't work, do you ever question whether you are wrong to
change something you don't understand?

This is so clearly bullshit that I feel compelled to call you on it. You
do of course realize that all the folks working on this stuff use computers
day in and day out and in many cases are far more expert and familiar than
you. You whine and whine about how much you hate the idea that computers
should be helpful and how it is too much of a burden for you to customize
the UI to your preferences. Do you realize how shrill you sound?
Speaking for myself, I use computers for what often feels more than 24
hours a day. Daily I use Windows XP, Windows Server 2003, Windows Vista,
and Windows Server "Longhorn". For the server products I change
the UI to match the client UI, the opposite of what you seem to think those
in the know would do. I don't experience any of the confusion you claim to
feel when using the computer.

Hi,
".. folks working on this stuff .." are "far more"
expert and familiar in what ? Painting the dialogs ? Eating mushrooms ? Did
you try to change theme from Vista basic to Windows Classic ? Would you
accept if I call that "transform" a bullshit ? It is not even
painted corectly.
Now .. what exactly in new Vista "look and feel" do you find
"helpful" ?
- No command bar in Win. Explorer ?
- no keyboard c/p in cmd.exe ?
- Explorer crashing and killing half of desktop because of some context
loaded ?
- Toolbars you cannot move around ? Customize by your needs ?! Use Back
button Luke, you will needed it - Back button logic and Options like
"links" in Control Panel which open more and more dialogs up to
329582490578089832 windows is ... I have no words for this ...
- Views (detaild, thumbs, list) which reset because they want ? Icon and
whatever buffers to small ? You charge 700$ for this ?
- Multiple Desktop envrionment you can really use in heavy loaded work ? I
found no such things on Win. Vista so far.
- Desktop resolution every user can change on the desktop and then you have
your logon screen in 800*600 and icons farked everywhere ?!?!?! :))))))) Drunk ?
- Windows UI is not productive, Vistas UI is shiny and there is a fullstop.
- Yes, everything can be customized .. it is a thrill to work with - you are
right!
- So, you are changing UI on server product to have it like
workstation/Professional/client OS UI to be what exactly ? More productive
? How is that ? There are glowing parts of UI which you stare at or what ?
"Grass-Look" ? UberUnbelivable ...
- True, there is no confusion .. there is simple ".. I cannot belive how
stupid this is .."
- Would you say it is "By Design [tm]" ? Or those ".. folks
working on this
stuff .." asked some of the Beta testers how they like the UI ? What
could be managed better ? Anyone checked any big windows forums,
statistics, voting ? Where and how to move settings/options/functions, at
last create normal Help .. not that crap which cannot give explanation on
clear "Symbolic link" - stupid shit without a proper Index, etc.,
etc., etc.
- You know, I really can say I will work on Win. Vista, but it is even more
idiotic then Win2K > WinXP transition which is something unbelivable -
what kind of blind people work there ? It is more normal to use HP scif.
calculator then Vista.
It is shame that I will use this afterall .. I'm stupid, thank you Rich ..
you enlightened me .. :)
P.S. I still think you should feel compelled and call yourself on it.
