* In a message to Blair Thompson on 09-30-97, TOM WALKER said the following:
TW> -> -> As a fairly "ept" Radio Shack "clerk," I'll point out that

TW> -> -> double-length warranty, up to an additional year, to protect
TW> -> -> the customer against any wear & tear that may have occured.
TW> -> -> This warranty extension is at no cost to the customer.
TW> ->
TW> -> The warranty is doubled, eh? Interesting. Blair
TW>
TW> Now the question is HOW many tell the Customer?
All should, but, being human, not all do. The warranty
carries no direct cost, so it's not an issue of loss of
commission on the part of the salesman. Also, the fact that
an item is on display isn't the same thing as its being a
demonstrator bears notice.
As usual, the above are my own thoughts, not the official
words of Tandy Corporation or Radio Shack.
