They are trying to bring these type of developments (neo-traditional) back
but many small-minded individuals or pretentious upper class want the
segregation.  I'On development here wanted to have higher density but lower
cost housing alongside their upper crust market but was denied due to
"traffic" concerns of the townies.  Providing lower cost housing
on Daniel Island has been a struggle.  Downtown Greenville is finding out
how to being the people back and it's not by making it a place only for the
affluent immho.
