I passed & obtained my General ham license last summer, without any previous 
ham experience, just about 2 1/2 weeks studying. eight months later I still 
don't have a radio, but I'm building my first piece of equipment, a four 
element cubical quad 2-meter. I don't need other antenna recommendations, as 
I'm already in progress on this antenna. I got the plans from

I'm unsure how to "tune" this antenna. Do I put a tuning stub on the
