The process of jury selection, or the responsibility of serving on a jury?

if they want to improve voter turnout,

Voting is not a civic duty, it's a right. Failure to exercise your
rights effectively remove you from the process. Once you're removed
from the process, you have no control over which of your rights are
taken away from you. Take away enough rights and you lose your privileges.

Jury duty is a responsibility. Responsibilities force you to become
part of the process, like it or not (much like spinach or liver).
Becoming part of the process gives you a voice which is heard; you also
expand your own horizons. Once your horizons are expanded, you get the
opportunity to improve yourself and the world around you. What a hardship.

Yes, complying with a responsibility can be a pain in the butt, and
inconvenient. Sorry about that.

then, everyone who

Yeah. That'll help. Our presidents are elected by a pool of less than
half of the eligible people (not just this election, it's been going on
for some time). Therefore, more than half of everyone who's eligible to
vote has removed themselves from the process--look where that's gotten
us. Are you happy with the way things are going now, on any level?
Have you been unhappy with it in previous administrations (again, on
*any* level)? If you're not happy and you weren't part of the process,
well then...

BTW, I don't think any of us "loves" the jury process. We do, however,
respect and honor it. We also understand that if we don't participate
in that process, much is lost.
