I wouldn't be any more certain of the history of one still shrinkwrapped in 
the box, considering how many stores have their own shrinkwrap machines.
RS display items have the same warranty and return policy that the alleged 
new items have.  I wouldn't shy away from a display model just because it's a 
display model.
