That'll do it! Also, that's an expression I haven't heard in a long
time. :-)
Never had the occasion to see it on props, but have been struck by
lighning in flight a few times... not even around a CB. The first
time, the bang was so loud that I thought one of the starboard engines
had exploded. My adrenaline meter slammed over to MAX and sat there.
You probably read Nat Potter's msg about the APU exhaust outlet near
the wing root... I believe that he hit the nail on the head there.
