(904) 779-9410 Hi Charles! I'm in Green Cove Springs Fl and lived in Jax most of my life til we moved out on the farm in '93. We have a med to large bird farm and raise all sorts of parrots including Mex Redheads (MRH's). We also raise Yellow Crowned Amazons (one of our current favorites, so much so we kept a baby and her name is Solo now 8 mos old and talks constantly) and Blue Front Amazons (BFA's). We also have Orange Wings, yellow Napes and Double Yellow Heads (DYH's). We have a pair of Congos but they have not bred yet and we have a spare timneh that we need a hen for. We have 16 species of conures and all sorts of other stuff. You have to love it to do it. Who'd you get your birdies from? I just bought my best friend an African Gray tank top and tote bag for Christmas, and am thinking of getting her a mouse pad/screensaver with grays. A few years ago we traded. I took her male gray Goliath who was an import but was a good talker and traded her a baby gray that she named Nyami (after an African Goddess of course). Nyami can say anything. Currently she has learned Merry Christmas. She started talking when she was about 11 mos old and has not stopped learning. Her vocab is HUGE. She is a little over two years now I think. Goliath, my breeder male still talks to me in my friend's voice. He says some things in my voice and some in hers. His mate Terry, also known as Ms. Tery prefers Ed or any man for that matter, although she is beginning to let me scratch her head after almost two years. I did not know that these local bbs's were carrying Parrots or Aviculture. I will have to check them out. I though Fido was about done for in Jax. I am glad to find a new place to look for Fido!!! And for bird folks! Welcome to Parrots and glad to find another bird lover close by! If you need help or have a birdie question feel free to call, Barbara or Ed (904)284-7464 We stay up late and have four line of voice mail, line two being for the birds. Hope to see you here again. * SLMR 2.1a * The best laid plans often go afowl.-Wile E.
