Hi, Gregory Deyss!
I read your message from 24.07.2017 17:55
ak>> IMHO, it is not correct to speak about Communism in the USSR. The
ak>> USSR was a country which _tried_ to go in the direction of
ak>> Communism. During its history the USSR approached differently
ak>> towards the private property, like it has been in China. The
ak>> difference is in the direction towards isolation. The USSR went to
ak>> isolation and dictatorship, China goes from it.
GD> You commented but you did not answer my question, call it what you
GD> will USSR or Russia, the facts remain the same.
Anyway it was not Communism or you use this word incorrectly.
GD> So again can you own property, granted everyone knows what China
GD> is. Communist for sure... but what of Russia?
I said that there were different periods in the USSR. Before Gorbachev
if a person bought or built a house, car etc -- it was called a personal
property. Plants and factories were part of state economy. After
perestroika in the USSR there appeared some private plants and legal
millionaires.
The difference between new capitalistic Russia and present day China is
the different way of a private sector creation. China just created the
ground for private economy thriving, while new Russian guys preferred
ransacked everything that was working. New Russians got their fortunes
for nothing, without hard work. They should have built new economy, new
plants, but they instead enjoyed dividing something that never worked
effectively. ;-) That was the reason of the new Russian economy
collapse. Well, I distracted, however.
GD> I have no beef with you per say but when I hear that communism and
GD> other things are existing that cause suppression and then I read in
GD> here how wonderful it is and even calling it better than our
GD> system, well, I will stand up.
GD> Biggest opposition of Putin's United Russia (center right party) is
GD> Communist party.
At least you see that Communism itself is not a clear identification
mark for dictatorship and unfreedom.
The US Martin Luther King, Jr.'s democracy, is very young. Everything
can happen. In the US freedom has been significantly curtailed during
last decades.
Bye, Gregory!
