Nolan was heard muttering to Paul Nixon
about plastic
NP> Actually, they may not be within their rights. Here in Maryland,
Their store, their property, therefore their right to conduct business
in any manner they choose, other than anything that would be illegal.
I support that.
NP> because of that exact type of problem, they enacted some laws
NP> restricting how much they can ask you. It's illegal now for them to
NP> demand your drivers license or your phone number on either a credit
NP> car or check purchase.
I don't beleive that should come within the purview of what government
should require of business.
NP> In any case, as I'm sure you've noticed, very rarely do any of the
NP> places that demand that sort of garbage ever attempt to verify it.
NP> Which is why I almost always fill it out with false information. Same
NP> when I check into buildings and such. Fake name, fake address, fake
NP> phone, etc.
Well...I coulda done that.
But I'm not a "go along to get along" kinda guy. If the service is
terrible I bitch. If the service is above expectation I compliment.
If I don't get what I pay for, or if a business does something or has a
policy that I believe to be inappropriate I let them know what I think.
"Clinton thinks a family value is when he can get
all the women in one family at a lower rate than
if he bought `em one at a time."
... Hmmm... I don't remember leaving any tanks on the lawn...
