Esther, I haven't talked to you much lately, but I saw your post - vis
a vis biopsy. You're right, that is scary. I had to have a Uterine
biopsy two years ago and I was a basket case. However if I hadn't had
it, I believe I would have stayed a basket case. As it was, it was
such a great relief to hear the results - when I got them three weeks
later and to find out that nothing was wrong.
.
I wish it could be like that for everyone. My Dad, on the other hand,
is in chemotherapy today. But even that has it's good side. For one
thing, the doctors believe he is in remission and are doing this last
session - as well as some possible radiation - to be "sure" they "got
it". Many forms of malignancy are indeed treatable and "curable"
these days. I know that probably isn't much consolation in your fear,
but it's a big improvement over the days when cancer was a death
sentence.
.
At any rate, I discovered that having to go for that biopsy and then
waith three weeks for the results was a lesson in living one day at a
time and turning it over to a Higher Power - over and over and over
again. It was the only way i could go on with my life. Despite that I
had many days where I was teary eyed, believe me. It was not the
easiest time in my life.
.
Hang in there lady! You're still terrific!
