ELVIS,
In a message dated 06-25-97 you wrote about spins...
Freddy Raynham was given credit for being the first to
learn how to recover from a spin and come back to teach
how it was done. I believe Freddy had British license
in the first 20. Not sure....
He told me that taugh spins as an emergency way to
get an enemy off their tail in WW I combat. I had
some long sessions with Freddy right there in LaFeria
which I wish I had on tape. He died soon after leaving
there for Denver in 1954. A real pioneer in British
aviation. both power and glider.
