SEAL can do this indirectly. It is a TICK/RAID/AREAFIX (and more) util aimed
squarely at Max/Squish sysops. One of it's functions is to update the area
descriptions from the .NA/.NO files. If you force it to update all
descriptions, and choose your "not found" default string wisely, it should be
easy to identify which areas are dropped by inspecting your SQUISH.CFG
afterwards.

SEAL also has a command that will do this, if need be.

Now the bad news: SEAL is DOS, but runs fine under OS/2...well enough that I
accept the overhead of spawning the DOS session in exchange for it being able
to do so many functions in a single run. SEAL is dead for further
development...the author lost the source code in a disk crash and doesn't
want to reconstruct it from scratch. SEAL is dead for author support on
Fido...the author recently retired his node.
