Rebuilding automatic trannys is not hard to do and any person with an average
IQ and a GOOD manual can do it. The main reason I would tell a person not to
do it is that you need a whole pile a special tools and a bench press (to get
the clutch packs apart), if you don't mind spending the money on all the
tools I'd say go for it.
Don't mean to scare you on his next part but if anything was put together
wrong the tranny will self destruct as soon as you put it in gear and give
the engine some gas. Trannys are funny about not wanting to go into two gears
at the same time.
