Eastern Canada got hit with the same storm with the same severity one
day later. But we are better equipped to handle it so it doesn't become
a crisis. Our municipal governments have bigger budgets (from higher
taxes) to dig out, with larger fleets of bigger equipment. And, as we
get them more often, people are better prepared and know how to cope.

Plus I think the American media dramatize everything too much.
