This is an old thread, and I forget what the original bug was, but it was
probably that
JamWriteMsg() does not support append=1, which breaks anything that
requires it (when writing to JAM bases), notably timEd, but also other
programs that rely on behaviour conforming to Scott Dudley's original
MSGAPI. Refer to the Scott's docs on MsgWriteMsg() regarding the append
parameter.
