You need to specify the -XM command line switch when you start
ELESERV.EXE, or if you are running the Win32 version of
ELEBBS.EXE in either stand-alone mode, or from another telnet
server or front end you pass the -XM switch to ELEBBS.EXE.

When you run ELEMON.EXE, you can specify the Server address
and TCP ports with the Alt-S and Alt-P. It defaults to TCP port 8889
and uses one port per node.

Yeah it is unique to EleBBS.. There were some notes in the whatsnew
files as I recall.
