So far so good.  Setup was quite easy.

You should be able to block all sites and then whitelist the ones you want
access to.  It is not as granular as say, SurfControl, but sounds like it
will do what you want.

I think you can block java via the MIME blocking feature, I'm not positive
about that, you should ask them for sure.  You can do IP and port blocking
easily.
