Sounds good.  About how much is the kit?
 
I would prefer something that runs in the computer which would be cheaper
to build and have the ability to save the text if you want, (for
capturing bulletins from W1AW, for instance), so an interface is all I
REALLY need, but a separate "box" might be ok for my purposes also.
