I'm trying to get some boatanchor parts for a Hallicrafter's SX101 receiver
from the states.
Everytime I locate the parts, the correspondent goes cold within weeks
regarding mailing the parts over.
What is postage worth from US to Australia? These parts are sheetmetal and glass.
I ran into the same problems with some old BC611 Walkie Talkie parts, it
sort of died once the correspondent found out where I was, even if I was
prepared to cough up postage.
I tried to get a small die cast Pathescope 9.5 mm cine projector sent over
from Britain, the thing only cost 9 pounds, but again the correspondent
went cold once he knew I was in Australia.
