Ahh..The Langoliers...one of my all-time favourite stories and the film
was,IMHO,a brilliant adaptation of the novel,unlike some of King`s previous
book-to-film attempts :/

James Herbert did write a novel called The Fog but the film with the ghosts 
and
the lighthouse wasn`t based on Herbert`s book.
