Hey Reid...
Long time since we've chatted .
Read this message last night and for the life of me couldn't remember the
frequency. Knew it was around 19 Mhz, but couldn't recall where. This
morning I sat down at the radio, fired it up and as the rig was coming
alive remembered the frequency as 19.500 Mhz. Tuned it up and sure enough
there it was.
From what I can recall of past monitoring, it's an HF Packet Link between a
station in Colorado and one in South America. The calls used indicate Civil
Air Patrol stations, but for the life of me, I can't figure out why CAP
would need an HF link to South America.
So there you are Reid. It's the only non-ham packet link that I know about.
I certainly would love to hear about more. If others respond to your
request, perhaps you can share them with us here? In anycase, take care and
will see you down the wire.
