Hello..
Just a suggestion here.  The book is possibly written by the George W. Childs 
that donated his land to the government and which is now known as Childs Park 
located off of route 209 up towards the Dingmans area.  If so, you may be 
ble
to get info on him from park officials??  You have me curious now so I will 
also check it out on the Internet and see if I can turn anything up.
