(50% chance of guessing right here, but...) We use an acidic formula to dislodge our baseous sweat, (Or vise versa) where other mammals are the opposite. Likewise, our sweat can wreck havoc on all but wool fibre rugs for the same reason. It's the fluctuating change of states in a dogs skin, and on most carpeting that speed up their demise. Of course, I might have heard total crap, so... ...
