Never saw sparks on the ground but St. Elmo's fire has sure made me edgy
on many  of the 15 hour round trips from Tinian to Japan and back.
Having balls of fire roll along the wing right over the top if the 100
octane will get your attention. The props usually looked like they were
on fire also. That is washer cutting time!
