MB> When do you think we may see a new DOS version of MB> squish? Just wondering since MB> I am still useing the latest released version 1.11. I use Seal along with MB> squish to help me out with my downlinks. Not for a long time, unless you are willing to help with development. At this point in time the only active developers for Maximus / Squish are compiling in a Unix / Linux environment. Personally, I would also like to eventually get the code compiling again under OS/2, which, if I successed with using Open Watcom, might allow DOS and Win32 compiles to occure.... But I may end up using the EMX port of GCC for OS/2.... which doesn't help DOS users.... To date, I believe there is only one or two fixes we have made to squish / Unix / Linux that could be rolled back to the DOS / Win32 / OS/2 version, but are rather minor. [The one fix that comes to mind is the fix for the format of one of the kludge lines squish generates to use the current standard.] While we have been trying to keep the code so that it can be re-compiled for DOS / Win32 / OS/2 platforms, none of the current development team has Scott's development environment re-created, so we have yet to be able to recompile the code for the DOS / Win32 / OS/2 platforms. Can you help in this area? Thanks. Bob Jones, 1:343/41 --- Maximus/2 3.01* Origin: Top Hat 2 BBS (1:343/41) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 @PATH: 343/41 10/345 106/1 2000 633/267 |
