How about these new "black boxes" the want to install in cars,,,
The devices incorporate gps locating and conditions around the car.
The government line is to provide information surrounding accidents to allow 
studies too prevent further incidents (read; for the sake of the children)
 
BUT how about going to your annual inspection station and before you leave 
his computer downloads the memory and writes you 2 citations
one because 3 months ago you went too fast from the bank to the grocery store 
and for 3 days before your last tune up you were putting an illegal amount of 
hydrocarbons into the atmosphere.
 
my apologies and greatest appreciation to the moderator of this echo.
I was interested in starting a conversation on this echo and maybe picking up
