Michigan is having a heat wave now. Today the temp is up to -7c.  last week
end it was -20 to -25c.  Unfortunately, is is forecast for about -30c next
week. That's still much warmer than many places.   

Where I live I am only about 50km east of Lake Michigan; the lake isn't as
effective as an ocean, but it does moderate or climate a lot.
