Got this one ok!

Well, it is certainly good enough for me to read and understand. AND that is
a lot better then some of our peers do. ;-)

Early on in the program the thoughts of ever having to go back and face

was a big deterent to my picking up that FIRST one. Gradually as I put those
24 hour periods together, back to back, the option of taking a drink for any
reason just faded ..... As far as getting away from MEETINGS, I suppose you
mean 'scheduled' meetings. Leaving that thought aside, I have 5 or 10
meetings
a week by just answering my telepone. Then there are all the times I leave
y
apartment whether I'm going to the lobby, out to the coffee shop or store or
just out I'm constantly running into program, would be program people. Those
are meetings 'for my benefit' at least.

I don't pick up that FIRST drink today! When I get a chance to make a
regular (scheduled) meeting I choose a meeting where the speakers share their
experience, strength & hope (their drunk-a-log). Those are the kind of
meetings that KEEP the memory GREEN.
JT> Now i has to take my self back, but that is the hardest thing for me.
JT> My friends in the program are calling me from time to time, i cant tell
Talk to one of your friends that you trust and get back to some speaker
meetings. When one who has some time in takes a drink what they loose is
their accumulated amount of time .... they don't loose all that experience.
