Well the Eagles had a decent reunion but it looks like it was just a one-time
thing...I wonder if Fleetwood Mac will be the same thing. Anyway, I'm not
totally pleased with Rog's solo career, especially with +/-oHH (Pros & Cons
Of Hitchhiking)...I think someone called it a " 'could've been Floyd'
album"...it has a sound similar to _The Wall_ and _The Final Cut_ (some of it
should since some of +/-oHH, The Wall, and The Final Cut was written at the
same time in 1978...I heard that _The Moment Of Clarity_ and some of _The
Final Cut_ [including _The Hero's Return] was supposed to be part of _The
Wall_). KAOS...I like it, but it sounds too much like typical '80s crap...but
I do like Clare Torrey's singing on it (she was the one who did the singing
on the studio version of _The Great Gig In The Sky_). But I really like his
last album, _Amused To Death_...it it the most Floyd-like sounding album he
has ever done (I haven't listened to _When The Wind Blows_ [a soundtrack he
contributed a few songs to] or _The Body_ [it was mostly a Rog solo album he
did with Ron Geesin, the guy who helped Floyd create the song _Atom Heart
Mother_; and there was also an uncredited Floyd song called _Give Birth To A
Smile_}). But overall I'm not jumping up and down over Rog's solo career. I'm
still trying to finish my Syd Barrett solo CD collection...I have _The Madcap
Laughs_ (I love this one) and _Opel_ (I like most of it...I could've done
without the instrumental version of _Golden Hair_)...I still need to get
_Barrett_, _The John Peel Sessions_, and _Crazy Diamond_ (the box set).
