I agree, but my point is that dns manipulation like that is dangerous to
all internet functions, not just email. Email was the easiest example I
could come up with but here's another one.
Some domain gets flooded, so they pull the dns for it. Now it doesn't
resolve so guess what dns manipulation is going to do..
