Apparantley, John Summerfield was, in fact, correct. David Moskowitz,
apparantley, was the last to find out.
OS/2 Warp Unleashed 4th Edition has been cancelled by the publisher.
Main reason cited was the they (Sam's) felt that OS/2 was a dying
operating system, and there was not enough market for the book.
Perhaps a few (thousand) well thought out e-mails to
cskaggs@sams.mcp.com would help them to realize that OS/2 is NOT a
dying operating system, and there IS a market for this book, if they
should choose to publish it.
(Please, no flames. Flaming Sam's would only serve to reflect
negatively on OS/2 users).
J3's Web Site has been updated, and there is no longer a link to
pre-order the book.
Here is an e-mail message I recieved today. (I had pre-ordered the
book from J3).

 Hello,
Rumor had it that the publication of OS/2 Warp Unleashed, 4th
Edition had been cancelled at the eleventh hour, until I was able
to confirm or deny this statement I had to take it at face value,
   that of a rumor.
Unfortunately, this rumor has become true. I was just notified
minutes ago by our SAM's Publishing Representative that they (SAM's)
will not be publishing OS/2 Warp Unleashed, 4th Ed. for a couple of
reasons, one being that they feel the OS/2 market place is dying.
This is another sad chapter in the OS/2 history book. My
apologies to anyone that has been inconvenienced. Our Web site
will be updated to reflect this new information.
  Sincerely,
  -Jim Ames, President
  J3 Computer Technologies

Team OS/2 Mean "Small & Limp"?
