I'm sorry to hear that. However, my comment of "Every bit of my message is
UTF-8" as well as "There is nothing wrong with my setup" still stand.

You're exactly right. You would have to set up UTF-8, not KOI8R. This is, was,
and always will be a UTF-8 system. However, I do seem to have a KOI8R -> UTF-8
translation here for both my NNTP server as well as Golded, if that means
anything. So if you were to write something in KOI8R, I may just be able to see
it as it should be - though if I quoted it back to you, you would get my
response in UTF-8, not KOI8R. ;)
