One fundamental problem that I don't think I could overlook is the issue
that you would be (I think) downloading updates from Ryan's site, rather
than directly from Microsoft. I suppose the updates are signed in some
clever way ... although whether that is checked during an unattended
install (which is how I think you say they are installed), I'm not sure.

I wonder what the legality of Ryan distributing Microsoft's updates is.
