subject: Split Screen Vs. Link-up

-=> Quoting Tom Arkhit to Justin Smith <=-
TA> I don't know if this guys "Mommy & Daddy" shell out for this stuff,

I'm not. I buy everything I own with my money.
TA> I still need to know how playing split screen is cheating..!
OK. This will be the last time I'll explain this. With split screen
you can see where your opponent is, what items/weapons he's carrying, where
you are, his inventory, etc. Now that's cheating.
If you were to play Quake with 16 players, not everyone can see where
you are. You could find a save hiding spot with one opening. As someone
passes by, you blow them away. If that was done in split screen, they would
 know that you're there.
     Here's an analogy.

 Split Screen:
Two kids a supposed to take a test. The teachers put them next to each
other and they tell them that they have an hour to finish. Both kids could
look at each others test and make corrections if needed.
 Link Mode:
Two kids a supposed to take a test. The teachers put them at opposite
sides of the room. They tell them that they have an hour to finish. Now the
kids can't look at each others test. Then the grade would be fair.
There's gotta be someone who beleives me. It makes so much sense. I
think people are misunderstanding me. I use split screen when needed. If
I had an option of Link, then I'd do that. It's not any trouble.
I'm just pointing out that Split Screen is cheating, in a way. Take
Battleship for PlayStation. Would that be possible for Nintendo 64 in split
screen? No. Of course not. I hope I made my point.
