I haven't tried real hard to change the defaults, but I have not
stumbled onto a way to do so.  I think that might be an enhancement to
suggest (as I also frequently transfer files other than .zip files).
I'll send an e-mail to the author.  (I know he hasn't been very evident
in this conference lately, but I also know that his compuserve address
still works).
